BBQ Gathering - Egaila Family Beach

A casual BBQ gathering took place last Friday at Egaila Family Beach in Fintas. The gathering was the first to be organized since the end of Summer. About 50 people including students and kids attended the gathering and it our friends started to arrive as early as 9.15 a.m. The bulk of us arrived by 10.00 a.m....biase le tu Friday morning....Many more of our friends wanted to join but was unable to due to work commitments and ill health...well maybe next time.

Well... it took us long enough to get the fire started and in the mean time brunch was served from the array of food that were generously lined up on the table. The potluck included nasi puteh kari daging, ikan masin, mee goreng, bihun goreng, spaghetti, keropok lekor, donuts, cupcakes, mash potato with gravy, rojak buah dan lain-lain (sorry..I can't seem to recall all the food...but thanks the same anyway..he he). By the time nak Jumaat...api blum nyala lagi...so only after Jumaat we started "BBQ"ing.

The menu..biase le....kambing, beef, ayam ...and tak ketinggalan unta. Most the credit for shopping, marinating and "BBQ"ing goes to boys from Equate and Malakoff. Our thanks to them for their effort and hard work.

The kids had a blast playing in the sand stopping only when they are starving or too cold to carry on.

It was nice to have some time to chill out and catch up among ourselves and also to get to know each other a little bit better.

We took a group photo to commemorate the gathering and but some are not here kerana kena duty jaga anak kat tepi pantai atau jaga anak tido...coz by this time its already late afternoon.

We owe a debt of gratitude to Shukry who was the mastermind of the whole thing. We thank him for driving the event and coordinating everything so that everybody had a good time. The last of us left Egaila Family Beach about 7.00 p.m.

It was a nice day out and we hope that everybody enjoyed themselves and the place was really nice and the weather was almost perfect. A view from the jetty almost says it all.

Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I'm Malaysian living in USA. We organize outdoor activities for Malaysians in San Francisco Bay Area too... It's always fun to meet other Malaysians.
